Xin joined our lab in October 2021 as a rotation student from the 5-year MSc/PhD program at the International Max Planck Research School: The Mechanisms of Mental Function and Dysfunction (IMPRS-MMFD). She received a BSc in Mathematics and Economics from the College of William and Mary in Virginia, USA, and worked in the industry as a Data Analyst. She also worked as a Postgraduate Research Assistant at the California Institute of Technology in Dean Mobbs’ lab and Ralph Adolphs’ lab, studying human decision making and learning under affects such as fear, anxiety, and frustration. Xin is currently working on a project on optimal evidence integration under anxiety.
