Surabhi completed her Bachelors in computer science from IIIT Delhi, India and did her Masters from HU Berlin School of Mind and Brain. Her Masters thesis was in the area of empirical aesthetics, where she worked on developing a computational complexity metric of visual complexity and relating it to human pattern exploration. In September 2022, she started her PhD in Peter Dayan’s group, co-supervised by Eric Schulz. During her PhD, she aims to understand some of the cognitive and computational mechanisms underlying human and machine creativity.
